The unique tray compromises of pods that detach from the tray for an easier admin of upto 15 meds at a go. This avoids the risk of losing tablets as you pop them out of the current blisters, traditionally used in use in the market. Each ‘Pod’ is uniquely labelled with the resident name, medications in the ‘Pod’ and the time and date of administration. The tray facia has the colour coding relating to the meds round in use (Pink/Yellow/Orange/Blue commonly used) as well as the picture of the resident. As you slide the trays out of the trolley, you can rest assured that the tray is for the right resident.
This coupled with the colour coded MAR charts, makes life a smooth sail for care homes. The MAR charts have the have the resident’s photograph as well as features such as premarked crosses for alternating medication doses.Useful information such as patient allergies and any notes (relating to the patient condition e.g. epilepsy/diabetes are clearly marked on the MAR chart).
